HAVILAND recommends hand-washing your items with a microfiber sponge. However, since 2011, HAVILAND has partnered with SUN Expert Machine Cleaner, which allows us to guarantee 500 machine washes (under normal use). Regarding pieces categorized as embossed or inlaid with gold and/or platinum, we strongly advise against machine washing.

However, we recommend that you wipe each piece after washing, using a soft, dry cloth to preserve the shine of the porcelain and your decorations. 

Haviland white porcelain and precious metal-free decorations are microwave-safe. It is forbidden to do this for any decoration containing precious metals, such as gold or platinum.
